1. Who we are

The Project Management Podcast is published by Cornelius Fichtner. Throughout this page, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Cornelius Fichtner, and "you" refers to anyone listening to the podcast, visiting this website, or subscribing to Premium.

2. The podcast is free

The PM Podcast is free to listen to. You can subscribe through any podcast app, and you never have to visit this website or agree to anything.

We also offer a paid Premium subscription. Section 8 covers that.

3. This is education, not advice

We produce the podcast to help project managers learn. It is educational content, not professional advice.

Nothing here is career, legal, financial, or business advice, and it does not create any kind of professional or advisory relationship between us. Decisions you make about your certification, your employer, your projects, or your career are yours. Please use your own judgment, and consult a qualified professional when the stakes warrant it.

We provide the podcast and this website as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, anything we publish.

4. PDUs and the PMI CCRS

Many of our episodes qualify for Professional Development Units. Here's how that works, and what it doesn't mean:

We assign each episode to the area of the PMI Talent Triangle we believe fits best, and we tell you the number of PDUs we believe the episode is worth. We do this carefully and in good faith.

We do not submit PDUs on your behalf. You claim your own PDUs through the PMI Continuing Certification Requirements System, and you are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit.

PMI decides what it accepts. We cannot guarantee that PMI will accept any particular claim, and PMI's rules, categories, and requirements change over time without our involvement.

The PM Podcast is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Project Management Institute.

5. Our content, and what you may do with it

We own the episodes, transcripts, show notes, articles, and everything else we publish here, unless stated otherwise.

You may: listen, download for personal use, share links, and quote us with attribution.

You may not: re-upload our episodes to YouTube or any other platform, republish our transcripts or show notes, include our content in paid training or courses, or present our work as your own.

If you'd like to use something in a way this section doesn't cover, contact us. The answer is often yes.

6. No AI training or scraping

We do not permit our content to be used for training, fine-tuning, or developing artificial intelligence or machine learning models. We also do not permit automated scraping, bulk downloading, or systematic harvesting of this website or our audio.

7. Guests, links, and sponsors

We interview a lot of people. Our guests' opinions are their own, and hosting a conversation is not an endorsement of everything said in it. We also can't verify every claim a guest makes.

Our show notes and articles link to third-party websites. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, products, or privacy practices.

8. Premium subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are sold through third parties: Supercast, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify. Each has its own terms, its own billing, and its own rules, all of which are outside our control. Please read them before you subscribe.

9. Accuracy and availability

Project management changes. Exam content outlines get updated, PMBOK editions get replaced, and PMI revises its PDU rules. An episode recorded in 2014 may describe a world that no longer exists. We publish episodes as a record of the conversation at the time, and we don't systematically go back and update them.

We may edit, move, or remove episodes and pages at any time. Our free podcast feed carries a rolling selection of recent episodes rather than the complete archive, and we don't guarantee that any particular episode will remain available in it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top tells you when we last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
