You are free to use pretty much any podcast app with Supercast.
For quick setup, Supercast provides a one-click subscription to popular apps such as Apple Podcasts, YouTube Music, Spotify, Castro, Downcast, Overcast, Pocket Casts, Podcast Addict, Podcast Republic, Podkicker, and RSSRadio. If you prefer another player, you can simply copy and paste your personal Supercast RSS feed URL into almost any app that supports RSS feeds.
We recommend installing a podcast app on your computer and then following the relevant FAQ (above) on how to add the subscription. This setup makes things easier, because the app will automatically download new episodes as soon as we release them.
If you prefer, you can also log in to Supercast online on your computer to browse and play episodes directly.
And each time we publish a new episode, you’ll receive an email notification. Simply click the “Listen Now” link or button in that email to start streaming right away.
- In Your Podcast App: Open the episode’s show notes or description in your app. Near the top, you’ll find a “Play Video” link.
- Online at pmpodcast.supercast.com: Log in to your account, where you can browse all episodes and watch the videos.
Access & Listening in Apple Podcasts
This should be fully automatic because you start your subscription from within the Apple Podcasts app on your device. Once you complete the subscription process through Apple, the podcast will appear in your Apple Podcasts app.
- Open the episode in the Apple Podcasts app.
- Click the "Play video" link near the top.
Earning & Claiming "Premium" PDUs
How to Record and Report Your PDUs
-
Download the PDU Log File
Visit pm-podcast.com/PDU-logfile to download the PDU log file spreadsheet.
-
Select Episodes to Listen To
Use the recommended episodes listed in the "PDU Roadmap" tab of the log file to guide your learning.
-
Record Your Learning
After listening to an episode, record the following details in the log file:
- Episode number
- Key learning points
- Date you listened
-
Report Your PDUs to PMI
Go to ccrs.pmi.org and log into your account. Select "Report PDUs" and choose "Online or Digital Media." Fill in the required fields using the information from your log file:
- Provider: The Project Management Podcast
- Activity details: Episode range and learning notes
- Dates: Start and end dates for the episodes
- PDUs: Claim the hours earned based on your log file
-
Submit Your Claim
Review your entries, agree to PMI’s terms, and click "Submit." PMI will confirm receipt and notify you when your claim is approved.
We don’t issue PDU certificates. Instead, you’ll need to self-report all PDUs to PMI. Be sure to keep track of which episodes you’ve listened to, and then follow PMI’s guidelines for claiming professional development units.
We have detailed instructions—including a video—to guide you through the self-reporting process in the PMI CCRS. Check them out here. Follow these steps, and you’ll be able to properly claim PDUs for qualifying episodes.
Tip: Report your PDUs in batches of 7-10 PDUs because the more PDUs you report at the same time, the more likely you are to be audited.
We carefully choose our guests and topics so that about 95% of our episodes qualify under PMI’s guidelines. The only ones that usually don’t qualify are episodes focused on PMP exam prep or on the details of earning and reporting PDUs.
For a detailed breakdown of each episode’s PDU eligibility, please check out our episode spreasdheet.
Premium Perks & Resources
Early Episode Access is Exclusively Available in Supercast.
You don’t have to do anything because we’ll manage everything on our end.
Once an episode is ready, we release it to Supercast premium subscribers first, and then a few days later, to everyone else. Please note that we record our interviews as a livestream on YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X, so the recording is immediately available on those platforms.
We currently provide transcripts in PDF format. As of January 2025, here’s what you need to know:
- Apple Podcasts: Automatically generated transcripts are available. For PDF transcripts: We only started working on this in March of 2025 and we are catching up to include them. Should be done in the second half of 2025.
- Transcripts are available for episodes 140 through 485.
- We’re adding transcripts for episode 486 onward as we publish new content.
- Once we’re caught up on newer episodes, we plan to create transcripts for everything before episode 140.
- Our goal is to have transcripts for all episodes in the second half of 2025.
To download a transcript, open the episode’s description or show notes in your podcast app, scroll to the bottom, and click the link provided. Please note that it can take up to three weeks for a transcript to become available after an episode is published.
